First Body works within the framework of electroacoustics, with strong influences from the fields of ambient, contemporary music, jazz and free improvisation.

Since 2022, they have been working with various acoustically amplified wind instruments and processing their signals electronically using various effect pedals and harmonizers.

With their first work "At The Every Place" (2023), First Body processes the acoustic signal of a Paetzold doublebass recorder (Salker) live through various effect pedals (Habeck) and harmonizers (Houser) in combination with audio-reactive visuals (Anderson). First Body performed this piece in 2023 at the University of the Arts, Berlin and at EVIMUS Festival for electroacoustic and visual music, Saarbrücken. Since 2023 the artist Johanna Klein joined First Body with saxophone and voice. The electronic set up is extended by a granular and an analog drone synthesizer.

This instrumentation in the interplay of acoustic and electronic signals offers extremely complex and multi-layered possibilities to process signals, to improvise in their exchange and interplay and to compose her own music.

First Body's studio is based at Funkhaus, Berlin.
